They are definitely not kidding when they say unfinished. I was ready to put in some work to paint or stain, but the way these are cut from pressed wood leaves the edges all quite rough and even splintered in some spots. Either I missed it or the description didn't say, but these are definitely not solid wood. You can see the pressed wood layers on every inside edge which I personally don't think would lend well to staining alone if you're going for a rustic look. I had planned to paint, but these are definitely going to take a lot more sanding/finishing work than I was expecting.

I was bummed when I opened this to see it was unfinished. I went back to the listing and realized it does list suggestions on ways to finish it though- I overlooked. A little flimsy, but will work for what I wanted it for.

Stained in a dark wood and hung a wreath on it looks great!

Just got this yesterday. I am not sure where I am going to put it and it’s not as big as I pictured. It is unfinished, I was aware of that and that’s just fine with me. I can’t wait to paint it and make a boxwood wreath to hang on it

The picture makes this look bigger than it is. I know it had the measurements available so it is my fault, but it isn’t as wide as the picture makes it appear. The listing is also confusing because I thought I bought a finished one and the wood cane unfinished so I’m going to paint it.

I didn't realize this was unfinished, so I was surprised when it arrived that it wasn't. I still really like it. My one complaint is it is EXTREMELY thin and feels like it could snap easily.

Super cute decor. You will need to buy/make a smaller wreath to decorate it like the picture.

I wish it would have came already stained. I feel they need to show what it actually will look like in the photo.

Super pretty but it was smaller than I realized. Probably my fault for not measuring but I'm still happy I purchased it! It came unfinished so you will have to stain or paint! Which is a good thing because you can customize it the way you want it!

Very nice, it's just smaller than I thought it would be. I don't recall seeing the dimensions listed in the description, but they may have been there and I just missed it. It's pretty and when it's finished It will be awesome in the space.
