The wood is very thin but pretty. For the price I thought this would be heavier but it is very light. Not impressed

Thanks for your review :) Each piece of wood is different - the thickness varies from @ 1/2" - 1" per board as shown in the listing description. If you aren't satisfied with the piece you received, I am happy to replace it with one of our thicker boards. Since these are rustic pieces, no 2 items are the same, but they are all quality pieces that make great gifts and decor for that beautiful, farmhouse feel.
