These should not be marketed as placements, they are made out of mouse pad material and cannot be cleaned easily esp for kids. Very disappointed as I purchased two and can’t use either done as intended.

Hi Lacey, we are so sorry to hear about any confusion with our place mats. They have a fabric surface with rubber non-slip backing as shown in the close up photos and description. They can be cleaned with any soap or laundry product and can be thrown into a washing machine or dishwasher as well.
