Stiff fabric, the tie on the neck is a little funny but otherwise looks just like the image!

Rubberband part is kind of skinnier than I thought it would be but it did make it that much easier to cover with a bow from the ribbons.
My husband, a USMC veteran, absolutely loved these. I ordered one in each color. He couldn't decide which he liked best. :)
Super cute and warm. They are a bit big. The hat is big for my 5 yr old son and it's still big for my 11 yr old son. They still fit nicely, just wasn't expecting them to be as big. Was thinking it might be too small for my 11 yr old. Pleasantly surprised.
