Does not hold the dogs in place very well.. they can stretch it out and still move about .. not what I expected

Hi, Our elastic safety leash is designed to have movement in them to prevent your pup from hurting themselves from sudden stops. The elastic act as a cushion for your pup who get excited with quick jerking movements in the car or sudden stops. The fixed nylon cord of the leash does have adjustments to limit the total travel distance. The elastic is the most important part when looking for total safety.
