Hi Cherie! The design was advertised as screen printed. It is neither vinyl nor cloth by nature of screen print is ink. No vinyl whatsoever. With screen printed items, the longer you wear, the softer they become. Since we do not pre-wash our items, you received, as advertised, a screen printed buffalo plaid heart tee. As you wash it, the heart becomes softer. Hope that helps with your concern about the heart being stiffer.
