Hi Rachael! Thanks for your review. I am not sure how to address the "looks like a painting instead of the real thing" because there were pictures provided on how this would look at time of purchase. I can only assume by "real thing" you mean like a photo? If that is the case, no this wasn't advertised to be a "photo" but a caricature of the meme that is so popular right now and with the photos provided with the deal, you can see the "painted" look you are potentially describing. And regarding the "vinegar" smell, I can assure no vinegar is used in our processes for printing. Vinegar has no place with screen printing plastiol and DTG ink chemicals. This is the first we have heard that our products "reeked of vinegar" so it is insightful and curious. But chances are any remaining, small odor you are smelling is from the inks that yes, if it is ever there, does wash away but as I said this is the first time we have ever gotten this comment. If you have ever purchased a graphic tee, fresh off Walmart or Targets racks that had just been pulled from boxes, they actually do carry that "new" or "ink" smell to a degree but does go away with first wash or air out. This is the only thing I can think would be what you are referring too with this tee set. We never pre-wash tees because you never know who has what allergies. So what you are getting, is a hand made freshly printed tee that like all other graphic tees, should be washed with care if you want it to last longer.
