My earrings broke when taking them out of package

The cowries were nice, but the way they were visibly knotted so that you could see them on the back and the sorta low quality of the metal links was a bit disappointing. But, for the price, when combined with other bracelets I wear, it will be fine. I have a feeling thought that the gold will tarnish rather quickly. I hope I am wrong.
