True to size, but roomy. This top is adorable, although slightly thinner material than I had hoped. I wear a medium to large depending on the top. I ordered a large as their is no stretch to this top, but could have easily gone with a medium. Previous reviews mentioned that the lavender color is more Mauve than lavender. While it is not lavender, it is more pink than mauve to me. I'm not usually a pink person, but this a very pretty top. I'm sure I'll wear it, and possibly order it again in different colors.
