Exactly as expected. It fit around my "deep" mattress. No funky smell that protectors sometimes come with. It is also soft and doesn't have a plastic or paper sound or feel. It feels like a thick fitted sheet. It does not encase the entire mattress like some protectors do, but I'm happy with the amount of coverage this provides. Overall, thus far, I'm very happy with this purchase and it seems like it will protect my meatless well...BUT I haven't tested it by dumping any red kool-aid on it or anything 🤣.
