Kintsugi means “joining with gold.” This art of filling something that is broken with gold is a historical practice that honors the history of a broken object while transforming it into something more beautiful. The cracks are highlighted, not hidden.
We need not to just accept imperfections and brokenness in ourselves. Instead of seeing something broken, we can appreciate how much beauty is added. In brokenness there is beauty and transformation.
