Jane is a company that employs a staff of 70% women and we work with over 2,000 female-owned businesses to bring women affordable and fashionable products. March, aka Women’s History Month, is incredibly important to us as we strive to empower women and help them grow in their businesses and lives. In celebration, we’re highlighting four sellers who have used Jane to find success.

“I would not be the entrepreneur I am without the opportunity Jane has given me. When I started 7 years ago as a seller with Jane, I never would have guessed that I would grow my business to the place it is today. Jane provides a mantle to empower women and help guide us and give us opportunities to be seen and heard.

“I started a company 10 years ago in the jewelry business. We did home shows and boutique pop ups around Utah. To make a few hundred dollars at a show was counted as a success! At one of these shows, a woman shared with us the opportunity to sell our products on Jane. After doing some research, we applied and got accepted as a seller. We put up our first few deals on Jane and wow — I think we sold 300 bracelets on our first deal! We seized the opportunity to sell more and more items.

“Through Jane’s yearly conference training, JaneCon, I was able to learn many skills in running my own business. This enabled me to focus on marketing and selling products. We started with selling fashion apparel and a few swimsuit offerings. The first year selling swimwear led to solid sales, so the next year we increased our line of suits and it has continued to grow!

“I embraced Jane’s mantra of pushing women to be confident in all their colors, and through Jane’s support and guidance, made a real investment in our little company with a complete rebranding to Graham Swim. We launched our new website, grahamswim.com, added crucial new employees and increased our social media presence. Through Jane’s support, I am now one of the top swimsuit sellers on Jane. I’m truly grateful to Jane for allowing me — a stay at home mom — to find myself and gain confidence in running my own business.”

In what ways does Jane as a brand champion women?

“Jane doesn’t put a tag or stamp on just one kind of woman. They allow us as sellers to reach every type of woman,  no matter her ethnicity, size or style. I’m grateful and proud to be a part of something that allows women to be themselves and feel proud in the skin they have.”

How has Jane set the tone for success for women owned businesses?

“Jane provides tools, education and resources to its sellers. They provide the market, research and 24/7 customer service to help with the needs of sellers and customers. Whether I’m at home, on the go or at my company offices, Jane is always available.”

How has Jane empowered you in your community and through those you employ?

“Because of the platform Jane provides and exemplifies, I have the opportunity to hire women of all ages and circumstances. I have three daughters who work beside me and are learning how to run a business. I’ve hired stay at home moms to help with fulfillment, marketing, advertising and social media. These women are amazing. Not only are they raising children, but they are making Graham Swim amazing and making extra money for their families. Our women owned and operated company is making a difference, not only for us, but for all the customers we get to touch.

“I’ve found joy in selling swimsuits that are trendy and modest at an affordable price, helping women feel confident, comfortable and cute in what they wear.

“I’m proud to be part of a company that does so much good in pushing women to be great, feel confident in the workforce and still allow us to be our own individuals!”

“We grew up working in a family floral business which encouraged creativity and imagination. We had great success managing that business and worked well as a team. An extended family member had sold on Jane and suggested that we give it a try.

“We started out with inventory in a garage and shipping over the kitchen counter. Within six months, we moved into a warehouse with a small storefront to display products. Since that time we have moved twice to larger locations. We never expected our business to grow as much as it has. It has been exciting to set goals and reach them and Jane has been a great support to us.”

In what ways does Jane as a brand champion women?

“Jane is a great organization for women. When we both married and started families, our desire was to be able to be home with our young children. Jane has enabled us to use our management and creative abilities with flexibility that allows us to keep family priorities first.

“Jane has the same goals we value. Jane exists to help boost and grow each one of its sellers. It’s encouraging, exciting and friendly. Jane gave us the tools for growth and a platform to share our products.”

How has Jane set the tone for success for women owned business?

“Jane is a company that feels like family. It wants success for each and every one of its sellers as well as itself. Jane listens, wanting to know what the goals of its sellers are in order to help them achieve and individualize those goals. Companies can remain small or focus on growing a larger business. Jane strives for a positive selling experience. It wants to know what is working and what may not be working so they can evaluate and make changes as needed. Opportunities are created for friendships between sellers, allowing them to come together and share things learned as women in business. Jane has sought to develop a great community among its sellers.”

How has this empowered you in your community and through those you employ?

“As we’ve grown, we love what we’ve been able to do for our A Dip of Darling family and community. We’ve had opportunities to provide donations and special sales for members of our immediate communities. We love the partnerships we’ve built as a company. Within the A Dip of Darling walls, we feel like family.”

“Our partnership with Jane began in the Summer of 2016. My husband, myself and our two-year-old son had moved 2000 miles away from home to follow a paycheck and I was desperate for a creative outlet — and possibly some extra cash to convince my husband we could afford to move back home. ;) I launched a website, purchased way more inventory than our little house could store and then realized that I had no customer base and no way to get rid of the piles of shoe boxes that were slowly engulfing my entryway. I won’t bore you with the details of the next few months, but know they included a lot of feelings of frustration and defeat.

“I can still vividly remember my eyes welling up with tears and the dance party that ensued when I received the email that (after multiple attempts) we had been accepted as a Jane seller! This was an insurmountable turning point for our business. Since then, Jane has been exceedingly responsible for our year over year growth, allowing us to get back to our roots and focus our time and energy on our thriving family and a whole lot of shoes.”

In what ways does Jane as a brand champion women?

“As a company who not only works directly with thousands of women entrepreneurs, but also employs hundreds of women and has a mainly female customer base, Jane does not shy away from the force within a driven, motivated woman. Whether she is scrolling the app to find the perfect pair of earrings for her best friend’s wedding or selling 300 pairs of shoes in a weekend, Jane motivates women in every stage of life to feel better, do better and be better.”

How has Jane set the tone for success for women owned business?

“Working with Jane, I am surrounded by strong women who encourage me to work harder, keep going and push the limits. I am so lucky to run a business on a mission to instill confidence within women everywhere, with each and every step they take. Jane has made it possible for me to embrace every stage of womanhood and give me the ability to do something I love, while still being home with my tiny humans.”

How has this empowered you in your community and through those you employ?

“Jane has given us the confidence, the outreach and the growth potential we needed to get involved within our community, inspire others to follow their dreams and to continue to push ourselves to new heights. Without the help of the Jane team and the seriously supportive and hard working group of boss babes surrounding us, we may very well still be sitting on inventory from 2016, still dreaming of ways to turn our passion into a profit.”
