With all of us spending more time at home, you may be realizing that it’s time for a decor refresh. If you’re like us, you’ve probably collected a bunch of prints, family pictures and other keepsakes that you’d like to display but maybe you aren’t sure exactly how to do it. We’d love to give you tips for making your very own gallery wall.
Gallery walls make a powerful statement, lending personality and character to any space. Plus, they’re actually pretty easy to do on your own.
Here’s how to do it:
- Start by laying out all of your pieces on the floor. Rearrange the layout and move items around until you find a formation that you like. Take pictures with your phone of different arrangements so you remember when you start hanging things up.
- Use measuring tape to measure the space between your items when you’ve found the formation that you like. You can also use wrapping paper to trace the items and “map out” your layout.
- Tape your wrapping paper tracings on the wall using painters tape.
- Now it’s time to start hanging. We recommend using a level to make sure items are straight.
We hope this helps you get started on your gallery wall! We’d love to see it when it’s finished too, so please share your photos with us. And if you’re looking for more prints to fill out your gallery wall, you’ve come to the right place. We have all kinds of cool, colorful, and playful prints for your home.
